The brick lookout tower with a restaurant named Havířská bouda stands on the Kaňk hill near Kutná Hora. The place where it is located was widely visited in the past. Since the beginning of the 19th century there was a hut here, later converted into a restaurant.
Its massive stone tower - the only one built of imposing Cyclops stonework since the First Republic for a long time - has been visibly rising to the heavens. It forms the massive base of the observation deck and café, which not only offers a previously unseen view of the countryside through its full-length glazing but in the evenings transforms into a romantic lookout restaurant with minute cuisine.
Kutná Hora, a town full of precious monuments, and the surrounding picturesque landscape attract visitors from far and wide. The Sedlec area, which includes the much-visited ossuary and cathedral, is also among the places to visit during a trip to Havířská bouda.
